Below a 316 Sqn formation in a nice 'finger right' formation

A golden oldie, this aircraft with engines which had the power of an average moped. It is still a pity however that these aircraft cannot be seen flying in the Netherlands anymore. The KLU ordered 75 NF-5A's and 30 NF-5B's in 1966 which were fitted with extra modifications. The aircraft were used by 313 and 315 squadron at Twenthe, 314Sq at Eindhoven and 316 squadron at Gilze-Rijen, although 314sq and 316sq swapped their locations in the late 80's. In the beginning of the nineties the Freedom Fighters were sold to Turkey, Greece and Venezuela.
